Skill Builders IL Program
At Skill Builders, we take care to provide our clients with quality care personalized for their unique needs. We are available to take your calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our staff members are professional, courteous and efficient.
We believe that each child or youth should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. We provide a variety of support programs for youth who are struggling with mental health issues, involved with the juvenile justice system, transitioning out of the foster care system, or are in need of crisis intervention services and support.
Independent Living Skills Program (ILP) help empower youth, ages 16-21 who are or have been in an out-of-home placement setting (foster care, group home, Children’s Shelter). This program focuses on the eight curriculum areas that will involve the youth n real-life activities. Those curriculum areas will include following:
- Daily living tasks
- Housing and community resources
- Money management
- Self-care, social development
- Improving work and study habits and permanency planning.
- Academic and vcational planning
- Household maintenance
Referrals are made through social workers or probation officers. Eligibilty is checked through Social Services.
